Collection of Native American Periodicals
As of now, Frank Newton has conducted research at three archival institutions holding collections of Native American periodicals. In May and June 2019, Frank Newton visited the Archives and Special Collections of the Waidner-Spahr Library at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania; as well as the Sequoyah National Research Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. In January 2020, he visited the New York Public Library and in November 2022, he visited the Historical Societies in Madison, WI and St. Paul, MI. During the archival visits, Frank Newton discussed his project with the members of staff at the three institutions and digitized as many periodicals as possible.
